JB Burgers

Before heading out to a crazy show of epic proportions, I met up with some friends at Johnny Brenda's. We had just missed the 4-6 happy hour with half price oysters. Darn. The menu at JB's is always changing. That's why there aren't printed menus and only blackboards. They didn't have the kabobs that night, which I love, and nothing else was drawing me in, so we all ended up getting burgers.

These burgers are good, but they must heat them way too high because all of the burgers were pretty much charred black on the outside. Ranging from medium to well, while the middle was prepared as requested, the outside was all charred. I didn't mind, as I actually like char (no matter how bad for you it is), but if you're not a burnt fan, then this isn't the burger for you. It comes with caramelized onions, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and pickle on a buttered and toasted bun. The bun ends up with a slight crunch, which I liked. The fries were good too.

Our server was... not the best. She seemed out of it. As if everything we requested was a chore and hurt her head. Bless her heart.
